City trailers

The city trailer is used mainly for distribution in cities. The benefits of a city trailer is the good manoeuvrability and excellent steering capability. The rearmost axle is steered from the kingpin when turning. The city trailer is produced with either 1, 2 or 3 axles. The city trailer is usually equipped with a taillift, which makes it very efficient for distribution tasks. Many countries’ legislation only allow distribution trucks or tractor unit city trailer combinations into cities.
