Finnish Ekeri and Kögel have agreed on Ekeri's exclusive rights to sell and service the Kögel Maxx product family in the Nordic countries.

Ekeri Takes Over Sales and Service for Finland, Sweden and Norway

Burtenbach, December 2007. Ekeri, the Finnish manufacturer of box and refrigerated bodies with foldable side walls, is taking over the sales and service of Kögel semi-trailers and trailers, with immediate effect, for the product range Kögel MAXX in Sweden, Finland and Norway. This will enable Kögel to boost its sales activities on the Scandinavian market. The company is also expanding its service network in this region considerably. Danish customers will continue to fall under the remit of Padborg, where Kögel has been operating a Kögel Trailer Point since 2006. "In Ekeri we have found a competent sales partner for Scandinavia who has an excellent reputation throughout Europe", Andreas Berndmeyer, Director of Sales at Kögel explains. Ekeri Managing Director Mikael Eklund is looking forward to the cooperation: "Ekeri and Kögel make a good team. Both companies are characterised by their numerous innovations and developments, tailor-made to their customers needs. We will now enjoy joint success in Scandinavia." Ekeri sells Kögel products using the existing sales organisation in Scandinavia and is therefore able to use experienced salesmen. This is how Ab Ekeri Oy, with its Ekeri Centers in Helsinki and Kolppi, takes care of customers in Finland. For Sweden OF-Ekeri AB is taking over sales of Kögel vehicles with the main office in Markaryd whilst Ekeri Norway A/S serves the Norwegian market with the Ekeri Center in Raufoss. Ekeri also has spare parts warehouses and more than 20 service workshops in all three countries. In the future these will also be authorised maintenance and repair workshops for Kögel. Apart from sales and service, Ekeri has, for more than 50 years, manufactured its own trailers and truck bodies. The company has specialised in insulated and uninsulated box bodies with foldable side walls.
